Last night was the wedding of our youngest son Derek. He married Tina and she is a precious addition to our family. We wish them all the happiness in the world. Have a great trip to Costa Rico and thank you for taking care of my precious son. Just remember we are always just a phone call away!

Our youngest Son Derek has announced that he is now engaged to a really dear and wonderful girl! Christina Dianne!
She is truly a dream come true for us! She is one of the sweetest people you have ever meet and she has shared her beautiful family with us and we have come to love them all dearly!

One of the true love in my life is oil painting! I have been doing it for many years. I do not have time anymore since opening my childrens boutique.
I would love to just take a day off and paint all day. That is my true relaxation!
I just lose myself in a painting and can look up and the whole day be gone! It is wonderful!

My name is Karen and I live in the great state of Texas. I have been married to the love of my life Glen, for 33 years. He is my best friend and my partner in my business. I spend many hours a day sewing and creating for my boutique, so to keep himself busy he started his own hobby of refinishing antique steamer trunks and he designs and builds the most beautiful wood trash cans. We have a shop at the World Famous First Monday Trades Days in Canton, Texas. Check it out online. If you haven't been there, you need to plan a trip to go. It is amazing!
I also have 2 wonderful boys. My youngest son Derek is 27. He is a avid tournament bass fisherman and he loves every minute of the sport. My oldest son David and his wife Jannifer, have given me the love of my life! A wonderful grandson named Ryan. He is 2 1/2 and has a little brother or sister on the way in September.
I have a wonderful kids boutique called Chenille Dreams.
It originated from my love of old chenille bedspreads and the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you snuggle up with one of these old treasures.
I think they remind me of the wonderful days I spent with my grandmother, sewing, cooking, quilting or just hanging out!
My grandmother taught me everything I know about crafting, sewing and creating.
I make custom designed quilts from vintage chenille. I also make custom boutique nap mats for your little ones to take to school, kindergarten, or mother's day out.

Glen and I love to go treasure hunting in old antique stores and at flea markets anytime we have a minute.
